I've Been Bad About Blogging

Did that modeling job on Wednesday and somehow it's Sunday and I haven't blogged since Tuesday night when I was prepping for that Wednesday modeling job.

First off, it went well! I'm excited to hopefully work for that studio on a regular basis. As for weight lost--I am STUCK. I've been super faithful to the plan, but somehow I'm still exactly the same weight as I was last week and it's frustrating as heck.

The good news is that I feel pretty good. I like the way my waist is looking and I like that I'm not scared of my arms showing right now.

It's Sunday! Friday, Skyler comes into town and 2 weeks of challenging eating situations are going to present themselves next to my boyfriend who has sworn to be supportive through my plan. He even says that he's going to just eat meat so that I can't even eat it (I don't eat land animals at all).

He's also being a frugal little something right now, so maybe the temptations of a total chocolate dinner at Max Brenners or the beautiful rainbow bagel won't be so tempting when he keeps explaining why we can't spend so much money.

We have this plan to take a year off and just street perform. We both have experience street performing and it could be a really cool adventure together that challenges the notions of what it is to be "successful" or "happy" in our capitalist country.

I have quite the week of ridiculous crazy ahead of me, but I'm ready to tackle it to the best of my ability.

Again, I'm not doing anything I don't absolutely love or find valuable so I'm just happy to be able to say that and mean it with all my might!

Until the next blog, enjoy these videos I made with the talented Bridget Linsenmeyer!

A Song for the Pearl

I wrote this song in response to the massacre that happened on April 1st, 2016 in Cotabato, Philippines. It's something that got nearly 0 press in the United States.

Blowin' in the Wind

A classic activist piece of music that still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to the original Bob Dylan recording.
